Myself wife and two children moved to Remenham in February only moved
approx 15 miles but what a difference , we have the Thames at the end of our
road, we have been down there having fun watching the various boats going
past, and decided to get a boat ourselves. We know next to nothing about boats
so had a look around the web and spoke to some people locally i really like
the look of the Norman boats, and to be honest don't have a great deal to
spend, saw this boat on eBay and after missing out on a couple of others i
rang the man advertising it, he was based in Woodbridge up near Ipswich and
had her on a floating mooring on the Debden, i drove up with the family next
day met Chris a gentleman in his 80s who was finding it harder to enjoy
boating he told me the faults with the boat, but said she was able to go in
the water no problem as is, i gave him the cash went home, got up early the
next day and collected her 540 miles in the two visits she towed back with no
problems,
The windows i have replaced the rubber seals, ripped the old flooring up
and laid new am doing basic wiring and the battery box fire extinguisher need
to get her all ready for a test on Monday for the boat safety test, hopefully
if this passes will be trying her in the water soon there is some pictures on
your excellent forum in the topic called BOAT AGE i am flat out working at the
moment and keeping my fingers crossed that i will have time the weekend to
finish her ready for Monday will keep you informed
